Yes, you read it right, blunt weapons are less effective than piercing ones in Viking Conquest. If the damage had been blunt, soaking would have ended between 61 and 80.5, and the final damage would have been between 42.7 and 68.4. at least half of your damage is gone, possibly as much as 80%.
So, your final damage is between 20.8 and 52.2, i.e. Once again, the armor acts with between 50% and 100% of its value.
5 = 76īasically the armor acts anywhere between fully and 50% of its value. So if you have the potential to deal 100 cutting damage, against armor of 60, the math goes like this:įirst, you roll between 90% and 100% of your maximum damage, modified for things like charging your weapon, relative speed with your target, head blows, interrupting a chamber, etc. Every time damage is applied, part of it is soaked outright by the armor, and the rest is reduced by a percentage.Īgainst cutting damage, armor soaks at 80% and reduces at 100%.Īgainst piercing damage, armor soaks at 65% and reduces at 50%.Īgainst blunt damage, armor soaks at 50%, and reduces at 75%.
